The request is to add a new part for ISO 15500 to address “discharge line closures”
Industry is aware of issues with CNG fuel systems that are caused by discharge line closures that are not addressed by the current tests. Under the current standards requirements, discharge line closures are not addressed. Requirements should be developed to evaluate components used as discharge line closures; requirements, at a minimum, should include evaluating the components ability to limit water ingress into the system and rigor to withstand environmental conditions, while permitting escape of normal permeation, PRV venting, and PRD venting.
