This document applies to the test verification of condition monitoring, fault diagnosis, life prediction, and
other algorithms in predictive maintenance.
Efficient production significantly relies on the availability of the production equipment. In order to guarantee the intended usage of equipment and to avoid unplanned downtimes, the status of the equipment and its components need to be monitored and assessed. Based on the assessment under the intended processes, the remaining lifetime prediction and possible maintenance activities can be made. This process is called Predictive Maintenance (PM).
