Committee: CB/10 Design Advisory Committee

Scope

Under the direction of CB/-, is responsible for aspects of standardization for construction and the built environment in the field of built environment design, including: a) implement and promote the current CB/- strategy; b) regularly review market needs and drivers in its designated field, ensure that its allocated TCs advance the CB/- strategy in their work programmes, and advise and exercise general control of the TCs allocated to it by CB/-; c) advise CB/- on membership of the Advisory Committee and keep its composition under review, to reflect evolving market needs and stakeholder interests in its field; d) liaise with other CB/- advisory committees as appropriate; e) report regularly to CB/- through its Chairman; f) comment and advise on appointments for consideration by CB/- and decision by the Standards Policy and Strategy Committee (SPSC) when notified that a new chairman for one of its allocated TCs is needed; g) seek to resolve any failure to reach consensus in one of its allocated TCs or, failing that, to offer advice on a line of action for the SPSC; h) advise CB/- as it may request.
