Committee: PVE/1/18 Pressure Vessels - Low Temperature Vessels and Equipment

Scope

Under the direction of the PVE/1, is responsible for providing advice to product committees on the appropriate theory and technology to be used in the development of requirements for national and international standards. This covers the design, materials selection, manufacture and testing of pressure equipment for low temperature service. Particularly to make proposals for the development of requirements for PD 5500 and advise on the reply to queries on aforementioned aspects. Select the UK representation for CEN and ISO committees dealing with subjects within these terms of reference. Recommend any R & D necessary for the development of standards.
